Harley is an old school american icon. It is not just a ride, it is a lifestyle. Everybody has a piece of Harley inside, we have it and you also do. Harley-Davidson motorbike lovers from all over the world headed to Hungary to celebrate their love for their H-D bike, as well to meet long-time-no-see mates. The 4-days-long Harley Open Road Fest was organized for the 18th time in Alsóörs, Lake Balaton from 7-11 June in 2017.
The greatest attraction is the monstre motorbike parade on Saturday. At the start line hundreds of powerful engines are ignited at the same time to compose a beautiful anthem, a huge noise that is. They make a tour visiting several places around Lake Balaton.
During the whole event tons of shows and programs are going on. Looking for a place for morning yoga, afternoon gym, or a full recharge before the night parties? The Everness Dome is waiting for you. Are you into special vehicles? A four wheeled monster, the Big Foot Monster truck is on display. Do you like testing the limits of the law of physics with your bike? You should come and see some of the stunts shows that will leave you jaw-dropped. You can visit the Stihl stand, where István Gáborecz, wood sculptor makes a life-size Fat Boy from wood.
In addition, bungee jumping, helicopter flights, Jack Daniel’s rodeo, custom bike, aerobatic pilot, emergency motor show are on program. For kids there are simulators and games that test their knowledge about traffic rules and road signs. Of course you can’t leave the place without attending one of (or all) the great concerts.
As the slogan of the fest says: Feel the Freedom! We certainly did, as after running to a shelter during a thunderstorm a beautiful double rainbow made our visit the most memorable one, ever.
